Whether your computer is running slowly, displaying errors or simply not behaving as it should, I can identify the problem and get things working again. I also provide health checks, system installations, software updates and printer setup.
Computer health check
If your computer feels slow or behaves oddly, I’ll check for viruses, unwanted programs, missing updates, hard-drive errors and other hidden problems. I’ll also clear unnecessary files and improve startup performance, helping it run faster and more reliably.
Computer installation
I’ll prepare your new computer for everyday use, including updates, essential software, email, security and online backup. I can transfer your files, connect Wi-Fi and printers, and make sure everything is working before you start using it.
Computer reinstallation
Persistent crashes, viruses or software problems may require a fresh start. I’ll check the hardware, back up your important files, reinstall and update Windows, restore your data and add the essential software you need.
Computer valeting
Dust and blocked vents can cause overheating, noise and unexpected shutdowns. I’ll carefully clean the computer, screen, keyboard, fans and ventilation areas, then check that everything is running at a suitable temperature.
Fault finding
If your computer isn’t working properly and the cause is unclear, I’ll test its hardware and software to identify the problem. I’ll explain what I find in plain English and discuss the most suitable next step.
macOS upgrade
I’ll check which macOS version your Mac supports, back up your important files and complete the upgrade. Afterwards, I’ll install available updates, check your apps and make sure everything is working correctly. I can also configure Time Machine backups.
Printer installation
I’ll install your printer, connect it to your Wi-Fi and make sure printing, scanning and copying work correctly. I can also remove old printer software and enable printing from other computers, phones and tablets.
Virus and malware removal
If your computer is slow, showing pop-ups or behaving strangely, I’ll scan for viruses, spyware and other unwanted software. I’ll remove any threats found, repair affected settings and update your system to improve its protection.
Windows upgrade
I’ll check whether your computer can run Windows 11, back up your important files and complete the upgrade. I’ll then install available updates, check your programs and make sure everything is ready for you to use.
